We have some great news… Kale is back in selected Tesco stores 255 stores!

You may have been wondering where it has been in Tesco but don’t worry you its back!

What are the health benefits of Kale?

  • Kale is an amazing source of vitamin K, A and C.
  • Vitamin A helps maintain normal skin and vision.
  • Kale contains high amounts of manganese, copper and phytochemicals
  • 1 portion of kale (80g) contains 120 mg of calcium, a very useful mineral for vegans and people on dairy free diets.
  • Kale is rich in vitamin B and this supports the growth of a mother’s tissues during pregnancy, plays a role in normal formation of blood and supports normal function of the immune system.
  • Kale is virtually fat free and low in calories.

 

Not sure when to use kale in your recipes? Here is some inspiration:

Breakfast

  • Kale, Avocado and green tea smoothie
  • Omelette of your choice with some added kale
  • Kale bubble and squeak with chorizo

Lunch

  • Mexican quinoa and kale bowl
  • Fusilli with kale, chilli and tomato

Dinner

Holidays with fresh & naked

Last weekend we had our first sharp frost in Cambridgeshire, so a bit cold here in the office, not that it affects our little leaves who have moved south for the winter, to be grown by our farmers in Spain and Italy through the winter months.

We have some great promotions with Tesco and Ocado currently running so keep eating your greens even if you do fancy a pie and chips!

Breakfast Salads??????

Over the past few weeks we have had spare Chia Seeds from The Chia Co knocking about the office, so it’s been super health breakfast smoothies…..

Our office straw-poll suggests; 60% of us think it’s OK, while 40% think is just wrong!!!

A few years ago in the early days of fresh & naked we worked to create the ultimate fresh & naked breakfast salad.
